Why SilverZen began

It began with a grandmother.

As a child, SilverZen founder Nooruddin Ahmed learned from his grandmother. As she grew older, he saw how ordinary places, services and technology became harder for her to navigate.

In 2011, that experience inspired the first SilverZen survey of senior-friendly restaurants and cafés. Today, the same idea has become a practical system for helping organisations find barriers, improve experiences and build evidence of progress.

The present we create today is the future we will live ourselves.

Why trust SilverZen?

Improvement first. Recognition only after evidence and independent review.

SilverZen is a Certero Business Corporation initiative powered by ALIGNOMETER OS™. The QuickCheck is indicative, Navigator organises improvement, and no organisation can purchase a rating or award.

Transparent methodologyTen readiness dimensions, version-controlled scoring and clear limitations.
Evidence over claimsFormal decisions require auditable evidence—not self-reported confidence alone.
Human-governed recognitionAI may guide and draft; it cannot change official scores or award recognition.
Founding-pilot transparencyThree malls will help validate usability, implementation effort and measurable outcomes.

SilverZen is currently selecting its first three founding malls. Pilot learning will be used to refine the programme before wider commercial rollout.
